The idea for Summit began years ago on the top of Mt. Whitney after completing the 240 mile John Muir Trail. Ryan + Derek were slogging off the mounting and talking about what adventure was next. Two guys with a hammer and a desire to bring their brand of “relaxed professionalism” to a tired industry.

Ted was brought in to oversee operations as co-owner in 2015 and has since joined Ryan and Derek on a few excursions into the wild. Derek moved on to the great North West in 2018 and now owns a shop in the Portland area.

We are fully licensed and insured and have the experience to bring your project to life. As a general contractor we can manage all aspects of your project so you don’t have to search for multiple subs to get the job done. Additionally, we work with designers and architects that can take your idea and turn it into full plans.
